چکیده
Abstract Aim To compare the early outcomes of two different techniques for ventral hernia repair in our abdominal wall surgery unit. Materials and Methods A prospective non-randomized review was perfomed including patients who underwent laparoscopic from January 2018 to April 2022. All were followed-up 1 month orifice closed all cases. Patients hernias characteristics, operative data complications reviewed. Postoperative pain defined as ≥4 value Visual Analogue Scale. We compared 2 techniques: intraperitoneal mesh fixed with a double crown resorbable tackers (IPOM+) self gripping sublay positioned (preperitoneal –PREP- or retromuscular –RIVES- position). Outcomes During study period, 44 assigned into groups: 31 (70%) IPOM+ group 13 (30%) Rives/Preperitoneal group. No differences found risk factors, population between both groups. 6 (19%) presented postoperative only patient (7,7%) Rives/Prep (p: 0,30). There no other complications, length stay time. Conlusion Early (Rives preperitoneal) do not report more during perioperative time, but they could help reducing immediately postoperatorive pain.

Inadvertent Enterotomy in Minimally Invasive Abdominal Surgery
BACKGROUND Inadvertent enterotomy (IE) in laparoscopic abdominal surgery is underreported. Patients with a prior history of laparotomy are at significantly increased risk of enterotomy if another operation is needed. The incidence of enterotomy in laparoscopic surgery may even be greater than that during an open procedure and may go unrecognized due to the limited field of vision. The purpose o...
متن کاملAbdominal Hydatids: A Minimally Invasive Approach
BACKGROUND The conventional surgical procedures for managing abdominal hydatids, including those of the liver, have a very high morbidity rate in terms of hospital stay and wound complications. Less invasive procedures may thus be logical alternatives. METHOD We enrolled 58 patients in the study. Using guided ultrasound aspiration followed by instillation of 15% saline, we were able to manage...
متن کاملA Minimally-invasive Approach to Liver Surgery
The typically compromised patients combined with high vascularity, difficult access, and poor suture holding all contribute to making liver surgery challenging for the veterinary surgeon. Risks can be reduced by careful planning, appropriate pre-operative patient preparation, knowledge of the anatomy and physiology, and alternative plans should they become necessary. While many solitary massive...
